With the improvements in technology in recent years, there is no better time to consider using solar for home use. With more of a push for people to “go green” there are a lot of reasons for converting from the traditional power grid and going solar.
Cost
For most people, the electric bill seems to be a necessary evil. Month after month we pay the electric company to use their product. We are at their mercy. We need what they have to offers, so we pay every month, regardless of the cost.
By switching to solar for your home you can generate your own electricity, and reduce or eliminate your reliance on the electric company. You will see a reduction in your electric bill as soon as your system is up and running. Depending on how much sunshine you get where you live, you will be able to nearly eliminate your electric bill completely.
Efficiency
Did you know that by the time electricity reaches the consumers that over 40% of what was generated is lost? It’s true.
The inefficiency of the grid allows a lot of power to be lost through worn wires, inefficient relay systems, and worn insulation.
What that means is that you are required to pay the electric company higher rates to cover the costs of the power that never even reaches you. It is a lot of wasted resources generating that extra energy. By switching to solar for home use, you are using a much more efficient energy source.
Sustainable
The most unfortunate part of all that wasted energy is that it uses a lot of oil to produce more energy. That oil cannot be replaced. All it accomplishes is keeping the oil prices high, and continues the worlds dependence on the oil producing cartels.
Solar energy breaks that change.
When you produce electricity using a home solar energy system you are using a sustainable energy source. Whether you use it or not, the suns energy strikes the Earth day after day. It doesn’t make any sense not to take advantage of that.
Switching from electricity off the grid to using solar for home electricity production can save you money, and it will help the environment. It is something you really should consider.
